Waking up early to check out, get our luggage picked up and sent on to the airport for us to explore the Palm Jameirah bag free didn’t happen quite to plan. Trying to charge us double the rate we cancelled and took our bags with us. Our taxi driver told us not to go to Dubai Marina but, to go to Atlantic Hotel. Pretty impressive and fun to walk around considering the heavy backpacks.

The seafront boardwalk was disconnected from the sea by a load of rocks which created some huge crashing waves. Walking into the hotel grounds we stopped at ‘White beach club’ to sit down and have a coffee. Not being allowed on the beach (unless we paid 200 Duran each) we spied a beach full of people across the water. On reaching this beach we had a very windy lunch and ended up chilling on the beach at the point looking at the hotel we left.

These passed five days have been pretty impressive and full on with exploring, definitely living the life before we go budget heavy. We definitely want to come back to go to Yas Island waterpark and spend more time in Dubai but, for now after a quick taxi to the airport we caught our 9:30pm flight to Australia. ✈️😁
