Gold Coast – Byron Bay
This morning was time to say goodbye to Brisbane and head off over the boarder to our next place Byron Bay, a 3h journey with a 1h time difference.
On reaching our hostel, Aquarius, we dumped our stuff and headed straight to the Main beach for a swim. Walking through the town we realised how hungry we were and wanted a cute little cafe or bakery. Instead we came across a Betties Burgers therefore, two prawn and beef burgers with chips on the beach was a good shout.

Afterward we ran into the sea for a swim and then headed back to the hostel and got talking to one of our dorm mates and headed down for our free dinner together. This evenings entertainment was also Karaoke – Josh and the boys couldn’t stand it and quickly moved outside but me and Ebba stayed untill the tone deafness got too much and we joined the boys.

Afterwards Josh, Ebba and I were in the mood for some dancing and Ebba had seen there was a live band on at Great Northern pub. We checked it out and wasn’t quite our scene – Australian heavy rock. Good culturally but we stayed in the bar for the house music. Afterwards Ebba went home and left us to wander along the beach and stargaze.
