On waking up the rain was finally holding off therefore, what’s a girl and guy to do but surf some more.

On finally catching those waves on Main beach we had a greasy kiosk burger and fish and chips – instead of the healthy açai bowl as planned. This was followed by a skimball round, hard in waves.

After this is was time to catch the coach to surfers paradise. Josh couldn’t wait for all the surfing to happen no matter how burnt his legs were and how much I ached. Before though he could not stop himself pretentious to be DJ.

Gold Coast – Surfers Paradise
We arrived at the hostel ‘Mammas’ (chosen for the cute curtains around each bunk) after a gruelling 20 minute walk with the backpacks. The rest of the day consgruelling 20 minute walk with our The rest of the day was spent exploring the city, it’s shops, restaurants and when passing a Ben and Jerry’s store a treat. My treat from Josh however, was free as the guy serving us was a fellow Janner (person from Plymouth).
After an Italian dinner we explored the Main beach, watching the waves and stars, deciding best not to do the water park for Josh’s sunburns sake.
