Sunshine Coast – Mooloolaba
We woke up to a mess and spent the time, before our bus, cleaning up and packing. Arriving in the Town of Mooloolaba, in the Sunshine Coast, later on in the afternoon. This gave us enough time to check out the shops and eat dinner before sunset.
Mooloolaba Beach Hostel also allowed us to rent paddle-boards and surfboards for free and so full use of the paddle-boards occurred at sunset. This was a must-do romantic activity so we carried one each onto the river – to the right of our hostel. Josh started off having his feet like a surfboard and nearly lost his balance – this would have been fun to see yet, I’m sure Josh would’ve taken me down too. We floated effortlessly around the canals due to the currents and stopped at a sandy bank. Here, I disturbed what only could be a river bed flatfish although I didn’t see it, only felt it swim away and it’s slimy feel. This unknown made us weary about falling into the muddy water on the way back especially with the currents now against us. Overall, it was a very nice, calm evening and a good way to explore the town at dusk with views you wouldn’t usually see.
