Waking up this morning it was cloudy but not raining therefore, we hired the free hostel body boards and walked into town for breakfast. Two crepes (Joshs has banana and milk chocolate and mine had strawberries and milk chocolate) on the beach with coffee was perfect. Although very sticky.

The waves were starting to get a good size too and on the body boards we were riding the waves all the way up onto the beach. Racing to see who would travel the furthest was so much fun and really made us want to get surf boards.

However, no matter what fun we had on the waves as it was cloudy we didn’t put suncream on. Our burn wasn’t felt till we got back to the hostel for the BBQ, sitting there getting hotter and more sensitive was not very fun. To brighten up our day we booked Fraser Island today which we are super excited for!

After lunch we explored the town. At one end we came across a hippy gathering and soon joined in with the dancing, although we didn’t quite fit in.

On heading back towards the beach we came across Hotel Beach who had a live band performing ‘Good Rich’. This was so much better as it was more classic rock rather than heavy rock and what we thought the other pub would have played. We bought a pint and chilled before heading home.
