16th February
Once again we failed at getting up for the free breakfast. I promise we set alarms this time but, I turned mine off and Josh fell back asleep.
After spending yesterday after noon at the lagoon we couldn’t wait to go their again to spend a full day in the water. We had also previously noticed you could travel round Brisbane on scooters or bikes by paying for 30 minute rides. One bike rake was just on the edge of the closest bridge and so we gave it ago.

It took us a while to figure out how to get these bikes to work and one had a bad unlocking system. With no phone signal we borrowed a woman’s to call the help number and our bikes were unlocked. Looking at the map given we found we could get to south bank over a bridge and through Kangaroo Point – an area on trip advisor for BBQs in the sunset. As cycling would cut our journey in half it started off very well, exercise and that breeze over the bridge made us feel less lazy.

This happy feeling however soon stopped for me as I got just too hot.

The last bit of exercise I do in the day in Australia. Although uncomfortable then we laugh about it now.

We spent the entire day here and it was only till we got hungry for dinner did we leave. Walking now and cool, I could look around and I would love to get a picnic and sit on this green one day!

Walking back along kangaroo point we passed a food market where we sat down listening to 5 minutes of live music as we couldn’t find the bridge entrance. A section of a park underneath the bridge however, had such pretty lights hanging from their branches.
