10th March
We all got woken up by Alex banging on our dorm doors for a breakfast of pancakes (not nice). It was also a sunnier and dryer morning so we rushed off to see the most popular fresh water lake – Lake McKenzie.

I drove us there over the bumpy sands and huge puddles – once I thought we might have over turned, it was so deep and the banks of it so steep I was seriously worried.

Two of the girls had also spent their entire time taking photos of themselves – later we found of they were vloggers.
This lake was so clean you could apparently use the sand to clean your jewellery and hair. I tried it on my necklaces and rings which seemed to become more shiny. I am glad it wasn’t raining for this lake visit as it was stunning and on a sunny day I can imagine it looking like a paradise – white sandy beach ringed the blue clear lake and all surrounded by greenery.

Driving along a beach one of the cars broke down and whilst waiting a dingo came in and checked us out. Everyone scrabbled to get in the cars but it was very cool to be so close to one.

Afterwards we headed back to the hostle to catch the ferry back to the mainland of Noosa. Once finally back at Noosa Nomads we all had very long and hot showers before having dinner and many many drinks at our after party.
This after party just happened to land on ladies night where all the girls got free drinks of their Koala drink – not very strong cocktail. Those on the tour also got a free drink – although I took many tickets for this and didn’t pay at all that night. This theme also allowed boys to get free drinks if they put on a dress and took part in a catwalk. I picked out Joshs dress and he look very pretty in a purple strappy number.

One unforgettable night.

One unforgettable island with amazing people.
